while we’re waiting for SCOTUS, could the court actually decree that the four states votes must be thrown out and its electors replaced, given that they haven’t agreed yet to hear the case? I assume they would have to agree to hear the case first, necessitating a long period of arguments which at this point would put us well beyond the EC voting on Monday..

I mean what can the SCOTUS actually say at this point? That the Texas claims have merit but that it’s too late to do anything about them or hear the case (which sounds to me like the worst of possible worlds). Is Texas even asking for a specific form of relief or just venting?
