The problem with a poll like this is that so many people don’t even know enough to understand the question. I would hazard a guess that many people think the theory of evolution leads to the ultimate conclusion there was no creator involved at all. So when someone asks them, “Do you believe in evolution?”, they hear “Are you an atheist?”.

I imagine some may actually hear the question as “Do you worship Satan?”
