Sam Bacile, agent provocateur. There’s no indication that he’s who he says he is - other than creating/spreading this malicious video. Israel says that he’s not an Israeli citizen. There’s no indication he ever worked in the film industry in Israel or in the US or elsewhere. No reference to him in imdb.com.

But his actions have repercussions - including rioting that may have provided cover for a sophisticated attack against the US consulate in Libya.
