Griffith Observatory, and Griffith Park in general, is one of my favorite places in LA.
I first visited there in 1957, when we first arrived from the UK. It seemed as exotic as the surface of Mars. I have been back many times since, most recently in 2019, which means I am overdue for a return trip. It is still a place of wonder, now tinged with nostalgia and the memory of another time.

Speaking of journeys from another time, Dr. Edwin Krupp has been Director of the Observatory since 1974. He is now 77 years old.

Griffith Park is one of the best LA destinations. It is amazingly educational, and beautiful to just see. Then you have amazing views from there.
