Nope. But the GQP and media seem to be. Therefore I don’t see it as much of a factor in the machinations of Trump or his cult. And until he gets actual time in a prison I don’t see a conviction as meaningful since even held at MaL he will still have all the media access to blather in. Plus Fox and NewsMax will have “Trump Held Hostage” counters running from day to day as well since they pander to such.

These aren’t civil cases. The defendant has to be present for criminal trials (IANAL). It’ll take up a lot of his time.

Also too, declaring candidacy subjects you to a lot of restrictive rules, that’s why politicians wait as long as they can to do it.
