re: #138 Targetpractice

Most of the commentary I’ve been hearing in recent days has been that Tories might not take as severe a bollocking as has been expected for awhile now, BUT unless they do especially well tonight then Sunak could very well face a confidence vote as early as next week.

Well, these are council elections, not MP by-elections, so I’m thinking he might could hold off a confidence vote for a while. The next election has to be held by January 28, 2025.

It’s also worth noting that the Canadian prime minister will have to call elections by October 20, 2025. Right now Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre are duking it out. To me, Poilievre has dragged Canada’s Conservative Party even further to the right than where Stephen Harper had it in 2015.

And then of course there’s our election. It has a fixed date, which is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Be there or be square.
