He is a phony. On occasion he might stumble upon the truth, but I’m convinced that is only accidental.

Go through his hundreds of online articles and archives. As I noted above, you’ll probably find a few things that sound just fine (and with which you might even agree), but keep digging. Like all the great con-men of our time, Robinson knows how to mix the truth with the lies, in order to get you to buy the lies.

I particularly liked the article on the evils of sugar at the homeschooling website, a bizarre mix of the self-flagellating confessional mode (“my wife and I used to bake chocolate chip cookies! Then we repented because they were destroying our brains, and instead we found the Lord!”) and dire, dire warning (“if you let your children eat sugar, they will have no defense against the devil”). I’m paraphrasing but it’s worth a read. Then go eat a chocolate chip cookie.
