There’s a fellow in Miami who ran for Kendrick Meek’s vacant Congressional seat, Scott Galvin. I voted for him at the time. He’s one of the last remaining politicians in this country, maybe even the world, who is uncorruptable.
This week a story came out about deep corruption in North Miami. Galvin was the whistleblower although they aren’t saying his name because of the ongoing investigation, but I receive his emails and he talked about it after Andre Pierre was arrested.

In which case he is not a politician, he is a statesman. Putting the good of the country over your own good IS the definition of a statesman.
