re: #141 Whack-A-Mole

OT, a quick question for the many photographers on
Is Canon’s Rebel T3 a good choice to start with? Is it good value for the money: $449 with the EF-S 18-55mm kit lens and a (non-stabilized) 75-300mm lens?

If no, any other recommendations for a low cost, entry-level DSLR that will leave me room to grow?

Do you really want a DSLR or would a better mirrorless camera do the trick? I’m very much on the Micro 4/3 bandwagon - smaller cameras, exquisite IQ, great native glass and the ability to use every kind of legacy glass you can imagine.

If you don’t already have a huge investment in Canon EOS glass, then I’d strongly suggest this: amazon.com

or this:

amazon.com

I personally prefer a view finder - so I added this to my E-PL1: amazon.com
