I’m serious. Get a good one who does disability and get her medical records together. Her/his fee would be paid by SS when your wife gets a lump sum. The SSA will take it out but the lawyer has to file a claim for her/his services directly to the SS. Unfortunately, this is how it has to be done these days for a lot of people.

That’s what finally got my dad his benefits.
