I agree — in the long-term. In the short-term, we’re skating over very thin ice. Many people will have to die and eat sh*t before the country wakes up. We’re talking massive numbers here. Rock bottom isn’t even a blip on the horizon.

There’s a third of this country that’s about at the line where the south was right before Lincoln was elected. The problem now is that they’re scattered throughout the country. There’s not much was can to to get them to change except defeat their party in election.

As for the other side, I’m seeing a whole lot of people running for office, organizing to get out the vote, and getting prepared for elections. As for the divisions we saw near the end of 2016, I’ll use Daily Kos as my guide. There are few popular “Democrats suck” diaries, and the ones that are rec’d tend to be overloaded with comments against the article.

I see a lot more energy on the left than I have in a long time, and the energy isn’t “Who will save us?” but more of a “How are we going to change this?” I like it.
