I get yearly blood draws for a thyroid condition and am anxious every time. It’s not rationale. It’s almost* never as bad as I imagine, but next time I’m just as anxious.

* There was that time when it felt like the needle had been jabbed through my elbow.

The nurse who draws mine is very good at it. She also alternates arms even though I have had 3 months to heal from the last draw.
