To be fair, AFA was only quoting the biblical passage. They said the whale should be put down, not that it should actually be stoned. HuffPo insinuated that due their malice towards the AFA (which is part of the Religious Right). I don’t support the AFA, but in this case their argument is not unreasonable.

I believe part of the rational is that it may kill another human, having learned from experience, and I believe the context was domesticated animals like the Ox.
