I agree that one’s voice alone isn’t a telltale for whether someone’s a bit light in the loafers, but take their voice and combine it with their body language, mannerisms, and vocabulary. If you have finely-tuned gaydar, it can make the difference whether it goes cold or goes off like the 4th of July; sometimes, gut feelings can serve people well on getting a good read on others.
My gaydar is pretty accurate. But there’s really no such thing as gay mannerisms. There are a lot of queeny straight men out there.
