re: #146 Anymouse

I’m glad I’m not on Twitter.

I’ve noted it before here, but I’ll note it again, in case someone wants to remind some person who claims he is a Sanders voter will instead vote for Trump (by his own definition, Trump is part of the 0.1%, that is, an oligarch, the specific group Sanders ran against having more power and money):

Sanders’s family, like mine, came from Poland. Sanders’s family arrived here when racism against Slavs was rampant.

My own family fled in advance of the Nazi invasion of Poland. My grandfather joined the Army and went back, fighting and dying to defeat the government supporting that ideology and slaughtering millions of people.

If you would support a fascist oligarch over Hillary Clinton because you don’t like what the GOP has said about her for thirty years, you are not a progressive. I also doubt you are a Sanders supporter either, since he said he would vote for her.

If you willing to vote for evil, then you support evil. Mr. Trump is promulgating evil.

Fortunately, amongst the Sanders supporters I know here, there are none that would give a microsecond of thought to voting for Trump. The people I associate with are not evil.

Few Busters are talking about voting for Trump per se, but voting for Stein, Johnson, or writing in Sanders. All those options have almost the same effect though since Hillary is the only candidate with a mathematical chance at defeating Trump. Therefore voting for anybody but her is to condone the overt threat Trump poses to the minority populations his campaign revolves around persecuting. Any set of principles says that is equivalent to whatever supposed “evil” Hillary represents are clearly insane ones, fundamentally grounded in a depraved indifference to a psychopath who is loudly & proudly promising to create human suffering on a vast scale.
