My uncle is a veteran who is currently receiving VA disability for exposure to Agent Orange. He doesn’t talk about it at all. He only opened up to me once, and that was about his time as an Indiana State Police detective.

Our town’s ex-mayor is a Vietnam veteran - he doesn’t talk about it either. Neither do my mother or step-father, both of whom are also Vietnam era veterans (though my mother didn’t go to Vietnam). My father of course can’t talk about it.
