The video in the previous article lays out the timeline fantastically. At about the 28 minute mark they cover the shooting. There were 3 regular cops in front of the door without riot gear. As they saw a group of either swat or riot cops coming up behind the crowd they cleared out. At that point, when the three cops in front had cleared out and the riot cops were still at the back of the group is when Babbit went through the window.
