In just six months, the 2022 economy has already matched or exceeded the number of jobs created every year this century except 2014, the year that the “job destroying” Obamacare went into full effect (and actually goosed job creation by injecting billions of dollars into the economy) and last year while we were recovering jobs lost during the pandemic. Over the last year and a half, all of the jobs lost in 2020 have now been recovered.

Another factoid: U-6 unemployment, a broader measure of the unemployment rate which includes underemployment and people who want to work but are discouraged from looking, dropped to 6.7% in June, the lowest level since December 2019, and one of the lowest levels ever recorded.
