Actually, I’m not sure what the source is (bad of me I know) but it’s kind of a running joke in my family…..

Philip K. Dick the renowned science fiction writer was convinced all his life that the government was spying on him. I don’t recall if after his death or shortly before, it transpired that the FBI really had a file on him. They were watching him, which vindicates him. He was not paranoid after all.
