Bob Corker on CNBC now complaining that Obama was negotiating with Iran without running the deal past Congress first.

Because every president in history has asked Congress for permission before negotiating with other countries.

95% of the deals made in the last few decades have been through executive agreements that did not get Congressional approval. Why? Take a second to look at the number of international treaties that the US continues not to be party to because Republicans insist we’d be “giving up our sovereignty” by signing them and you’ve a good idea why presidents just prefer to bypass them.
