After the Castle BRAVO test. the whole notion of a clean nuke went right out the window.

Interestingly, the Soviet Tsar Bomba bomb had an even greater yield than Castle BRAVO, but it created a great deal less fallout. Still, it was only ‘clean’ by the standards of H-Bombs.
