I’m going out on a limb here, but I think all this gnashing of teeth over Palin using the term “Blood Libel” is an Outrageous Outrage. (OMG OMG OMG did Alouette just say that?)

There hasn’t been an actual “Blood Libel” in 100 years, since the Tsarist trial of Mendel Beilis. Sure, the Arab media is full of blood libels, but they’re also full of other “Zionist plots” like trained sharks and spy vultures.

If Palin had said, “Obama is making a Holocaust on the conservatives” that’s the signal for outrage.

I believe Sergey posted information on blood libels that have been popping up in the former Soviet Union post collapse, but you’ll need to review his post history to find it.
