Well yes, that’s why Colorado GOP changed their rules. They go into the convention uncommitted. It is an attempt to keep Trump from winning a few delegates in CO.

But the blowback would be tremendous, if Trump has a significant plurality and yet the GOP machinery keeps the nomination from him. As even 538 admitted, that would be the GOP elite doing exactly what their detractors have blamed them of doing - not listening to the “base”.
