It largely depends on what other issues the GOP can get shoved on the ballots. If they get a ‘fuck the gays’ bill put on the ballot in a state, a referendum that has to be voted on, then that’ll bring out the hyperconservative voters, and once they’re actually at the voting booth they’ll probably pull the lever for the R while they’re there.
