The shooter, Gianluca Casseri, had a minor reputation in Anime spin-off SF. He was an active member of the fast-growing Italian fascist organization Casa Pound. The latter is named for American poet Ezra Pound, who made propaganda broadcasts for Mussolini during World War 2. Pound was arrested and arraigned for treason after the war, but was declared insane.
