In a way, I almost feel I need to thank Rush for helping totally derail the “religious freedom” argument with his spewing and allowing the discussion to be properly re-centered on women’s health. Almost.

No need to thank him, but it ws actually a fortuitous turn of events. It showed that the right-wing shouting is no longer a controllable force, once the genie is let out of the bottle the foul vapors will spread everywhere.

I seem to remember that it all started with an article that I saw linked here, which I at first took to be an Onion parody, calling fluke a sex-crazed skank. Rush just picked up the ball and ran with it.

And in doing so exposed the entire agenda behind recent anti abortion/contraception legislation.
