I expect that Elizabeth will hang on as long as she can and then pass the crown to her grandson rather than subject Britain to King Charles and Queen Camilla.

I expect William and Kate would be much more preferable to Charles and Camilla, at least among the commoners. Young, good looking and modern. But would William want to go along with shutting it down? Hard to tell.
