I think this points out that many people have quirky beliefs. More than we suspect. Of course this is terribly subjective! But frankly the consequences are just not that big of a deal. I happen to know a man who believes in the hollow earth thing, and this conspiracy to hide the entrances at the poles from the population. He is a retired but accomplished eye specialist. Ironic as can be. Urban Legends. Creationism can be regarded as just that odd.

Yeah it sucks to tell children that Adam and Eve were it. But if that is so harmful, why do we as a society embrace Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy…? We all get over it.
