If you took a poll you would find out that the majority of humans believe more in unprovable bullshit than they do in provable science. This is corollary, in large part, with economic status and education. Since the majority are less educated and poor they have a tendency towards superstitions and the supernatural. UFO belief tends to be a phenomenon found in more technologically advanced countries. It also tends to attract people with mental health issues.
