The other part, as based on the observations I’ve had of KT running headlong into everyone else’s opinions like a kid who thinks he’s the Hulk, is that he probably thinks of himself as performing a service. People like him justify being wrong about everything by saying they’re “fighting groupthink”. It’s utterly transparent to anyone who’s not a naïf, but they’ll try it anyway for the sake of fooling anyone they can.
