Well, this is the sound of my one hand clapping since there’s no space between Cruz and Trump. Both are busy proposing policies that would trash the Constitution - bans on Muslims entering the US, creating a police state targeting a specific religious community, building walls and otherwise making grandiose statements about security that have no basis in reality.

Bush thinks that Cruz stands for American values? Cruz thinks the way to fight ISIL is to carpet bomb somewhere in the Middle East. That’s the American values Bush thinks we have or should have?

That’s aspirational?

Stick a fork in the GOP because they’re done. All the caterwauling over how Trump is not a true GOPer falls flat when you do an actual comparison of positions and you realize that the only real difference is style, not substance. Trump’s right in line with the rest of the GOP.
