This has been mentioned a time or two. I think it came up after Trump got in a pissing match with an actual billionaire (I think Bloomberg). Trump shows up for charity events, eats the nice food, has his picture taken with actual billionaires, doesn’t chip in for the charity.

Of course, because the polite aristocratic society still behaves on some of the old rules, they can’t stop inviting the short-fingered vulgarian, because that would be rude of THEM.

And THAT is why Wall Street is giving so much to Hillary and nothing to The Donald [tm], not because its a straight bribe, or even that it buys access, but because they are getting EPIC LOLZ at Trump’s expense. But they’ll never tell you on the record, because that would just be rude. And these are the sort of people who can write a check with lots of zeros just to piss off ONE person.
