clear evidence of certain feelings can be used to (in part, they’re not sufficient on their own) prove a hate crime. (or at least here in the netherlands. wouldn’t claim to know these kinds of details about US law for certain, but I would imagine it’s similar).

I was referring to ACORN, & that just because someone feels that they do good has no bearing on if their activities are legal or not.
