So, the “peace activists” are trying to open up and un-inspected, direct route to a terrorist group that fired 10 rockets and mortars while they were sailing. And nope, they can’t accept offers to have the cargo inspected and delivered, they have to break the blockade.

Meanwhile

Foreign Secretary William Hague called on Israel to agree to a “credible and transparent” investigation into the deadly raid on an aid flotilla as activists whose ship was blocked from delivering relief supplies to Gaza returned home today.

Speaking alongside French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner, Mr Hague said there should be an “international presence at minimum” in an inquiry into the deaths of nine activists on a Turkish aid ship taken over by Israeli commandos last Monday.

So France and the UK want an inquiry into the tragic deaths of murderous thugs, but say nothing of mortar attacks from the terrorists those thugs are allied with.

Two other articles on that vile rag feature:

Queen Rania of Jordan attacks Israel over Gaza

Queen Rania of Jordan calls today for an end to the Israeli blockade that has turned Gaza into a “barely functioning, open-air prison.” The human rights campaigner and wife of King Abdullah II says in an article for The Independent that “humanity remains under siege” for every day that the blockade continues

So the wife of a dictator in an impoverished police state only marginally better than Syria, a place where the population has far less rights and protection than the Arabs of Israel, a place where Jews are forbidden from owning property, is described as a human rights campaigner and has the nerve to criticise Israel?

She criticises the Israeli operation against the flotilla for its “blatant and absurd disregard” for international law and human rights that “appalled our global community.”[of dictators and antiSemites]

“Although, I was stunned at the glaring outrageousness of the attack, I am not surprised by it,” she writes. “By its very nature, hard-line ideology is self-serving and self-perpetuating, its primary goal is to survive – and that precludes everything.”

How stubborn and uncooperative for those Jews to want to survive. Why don’t they give up and let us kill them all?

She also criticises Israel for defending its actions. She writes: “Assigning themselves authority and immunity, Israel’s leaders feel licensed to do whatever they like and not expect an international outcry.”

So the wife of a brutal dictator can lecture a democracy with far more protections and rights than her little police state, and The Independent has not a word to say to the contrary, in fact, features this tripe.
