Gotta love Dallas weather forecasters.
Last night, we were told we would get a “dusting” of snow overnight.

I woke up to that “dusting” actually being SIX INCHES of powder, on top of the two inches of ice we got Monday night (no meltoff due to temps staying in low-mid teens all week). Needless to say, I’m staying inside for a couple more days.

Here in Detroit. Weather forecasters kept yammering about the “Storm of the Millenium” coming to put an end to civilization as we all know it, on Wednesday morning we all woke up to 4 and a half crummy inches. I drove down deserted freeway to work, office was also pretty deserted. Later the forecasters admitted to whipping up a panic frenzy.

We could have gotten hammered like Chicago, but for some reason the storm veered to the north unexpectedly and Detroit only got caught on the edge.

My 4-wheel drive is sweet. I would have never gone out in my previous car.
