There are awful human rights violations going on in NK, but we don’t have a reason to go in and stop it?

In Iraq, there were awful human rights violations going on and we found a plausible reason to go in and stop it. Regardless of official reason, the coalition stopped it.

I’ll take that anyday.

It’s not that we don’t have a reason to stop Kim’s misrule in NK. It’s that we don’t have the means to do so. Where war with Libya was feasible and cheap as wars go, war with Iraq, though feasible, ended up being very expensive; we can’t afford to do that at all often. War with NK would be incredibly more violent, bloody, and expensive than the Iraq war. It would, just to mention one little detail, be a nuclear war.
