As I mentioned yesterday, I am reading about what might be a possible Operational level defeat of the Russian pincer West of Kiev.

That is the area with the reported 40 mile back up. And the multiple stalled Russian paratroop attacks.

From what I am reading, the spearhead of the advance itself is stalled and may have been pushed back. Other reports seem to indicate that the spearhead had actually been broken up into multiple pockets.

Meanwhile reporting claims that Ukrainian light infantry and drones, with some Ukrainian Air Force support are picking off sections of vehicles trapped in the stalled traffic jam.

The traffic jam itself seems to be too concentrated to easily be turned around and moved back across the Belarus border.

The trade-off for this is that there do not appear to be many Ukrainian forces in the South along the Black Sea. So the Russians seem to have a lot of freedom of movement there.

As always, there is too little information to fully verify this.
