Electricity supplied by wind and solar is tractable.

The real issue is the rest of modern life. All the stuff we use tend to exist only because of fossil fuels.

We may have to redesign the manufacture and operation of products, but what essential items can only be produced from fossil fuels, as opposed to other energy sources? As I said earlier, my knowledge of science is very limited — my background is math and statistics.
