QTF. Whatever else is true, Nelson Mandela had the same instincts Abraham Lincoln had about ending a conflict. He understood that ending apartheid would be best done if it were done in a none punitive fashion and there are a lot of people, white and black, who are alive today because he made that choice.

You know, DF, you present a quandary to me. When you post something like this, you show a maturity and sensitivity that is touching and absolutely heartfelt. On the other hand, I wish that you would show the same sensitivity to the downtrodden in the US.
