It improved things between the two nations slightly, but the underlying problem for Russia remains: North Korea is a nuclear armed and irrational state that threatens a US ally. And if the Norks ever use those nukes on America or its allies, a (relatively) small but notable part of Russia will be irradiated by the fallout from the nukes that will obliterate North Korea in retaliation.
