If you’re a progressive and you think the way forward for America is to allow the country to be dragged through the bowels of Hell for 4-8 years just so you can climb atop the rubble and plant your little flag of moral superiority, then you’re a contemptible human being and are the very antithesis of everything you supposedly stand for.

This is the same spirit of 19th century revolutionary romanticism that led people to believe that they had to totally destroy society in order to rebuild it from scratch.

They were somehow totally unmoved by the amount of human suffering that would involve.
