Back in 2016, none of them wanted to be the one who came out against Trump because they all wanted to be in a position to pick up his followers once DT flamed out, which nearly everyone saw as inevitable.

But Trump, being the anti-candidate and anti-politician was able to survive and even benefit from gaffes that would have wrecked the campaign or even the career of any professional politician.

And before they knew it, DT was in an unassailable position and they all had to bow down and endure the humiliations and insults that he heaped upon him to keep what little standing they had left.

They could have banded together and kicked his worthless ass
In unity there is strength and all that
But they could never agree on who would be “next”. They all wanted it to be ” me”.
So just like the R primaries…the “vote” splits and tfg has the majority of the minority
