On e of my Mom’s best friends, has a husband, still “missing” but declared dead, from the Vietnam war. She waited, with her life on hold, the required 7 years. She has moved on with her life, & the kids too, but has a gaping hole, where her first husband is missing.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to not know.
