I really enjoy the buskers here in ABQ’s Old Town…I listen to every one them tip them nicely…they are part of the culture…NYC is becoming a repressive shit hole

I have a Friday night gig on the Lower East Side, and since the weather’s gotten warm the NYPD has pretty much overrun the neighborhood - mounted cops, beat cops, extra squad cards, even portable klieg lights that they set up at intersections to light up full blocks.

Presumably it’s to keep people on the street safe, but all the businesses on the block where I play tell me it’s killing business.
