The “God gives rights” business sounds too much like the ones who go “If it’s not in the Constitution, government shouldn’t be involved in it!” The Constitution doesn’t mention an Air Force but we’re supposed to believe that falls under “Defense” in the Preamble, but if you suggest Social Security or Medicare fall under “General Welfare” they scream that nothing in the Preamble is enumerated and thus not covered.

Both the wingnuts and the moonbats have created a bastardized misinterpretation of the concept of unalienable Rights.
