I’d actually say Buchanan personally has fewer adherents now than he did then, but much of that is because he’s moved largely outside of political respectability. He still gets plenty of online attention, but he’s not a keynote speaker at party events any longer.

His views have just as many adherents in the GOP, though, probably quite a lot more now than then.
