Many thanks for sending it so quickly. While I was waiting I ordered a spool of the Kreinik silver #8 braid and the pearl 1/16” ribbon to go with the gold #8 I bought right after I initially asked you about it. Oh, and I also bought a set of embroidery needles with like five different sizes, so I’m all set now—all I have to do is figure out something to make. I’ve been in the mood for bling lately.

Did I mention glitter? I also bought a shitload of glitter because it’s colorful & shiny and makes me happy. Part of my last two evening were spent making glitter swatches with double-sided tape on cardstock.

P.S. It appears that the gauge of needles, like wire, gets thinner (and shorter with smaller holes in the case of needles) as the numbers get larger—is that correct? I’ve always found it sooooo unintuitive. Ditto for seed beads. Drove me nuts in the beginning.

Yep. I mostly stitch with 28s for the cross stitching - the smaller end will work with those, but the #8 braid will be a tight squeeze. A 26 might be better. I’ve used some of the bigger ones when they come with kits (don’t know the sizes of everything I have on hand) and could easily see them working for the ribbons.
