For me one of the worst examples of this was Limbaugh’s dismissal of Colin Powell’s endorsement of Obama. “It’s all about race” was Limbaugh’s “insight.”

Not only was he saying that Powell had no legitimate reason to support O; he also tries to turn America’s greatest living war hero into a simple-minded “black racist” who reflexively supports his own.

generals are not war heros in my opinion, and I doubt Powell would consider himself one….he never served under fire that I know of
