There have been several news stories interviewing the girls. They seem almost unanimously in favor of the center and some of them seem to understand the Constitution better than the politicians.

They probably realize that Muslims can be just as hypocritical as anyone else, and expect a boost in trade from the “mosque’s” visitors.
