I played at a party on Saturday, and among the guests was a guy from Detroit who is heavily into urban exploration. He had seen photos that I took of an abandoned psychiatric hospital here on Long Island and asked me to take him there so he could photograph the place. We went over yesterday morning.

Apparently, the hospital is well-known to urban explorers. He invited me out to Detroit to explore some of the buildings there, and I’m sorely tempted to take him up on it. I love that kind of stuff.

Yeah well, don’t try to urban explore the Michigan Central Depot (Detroit’s most iconic ruin), you’ll be arrested for trespassing. The Bridge Troll owns it.
